HARRISBURG – The Office of Rep. Zach Mako (R-Lehigh/Northampton) today announced a $618,229 low-interest loan through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) has been awarded to North Catasauqua Borough in the 183rd Legislative District.

The municipal stormwater project will allow for the installation of 5,100 feet of new storm sewers and 69 inlets, which will alleviate stormwater flooding. The 20-year loan will have an interest rate of 1% for the first five years and 1.743% for the remaining years.

The 183rd District includes South Whitehall (part), Washington and Whitehall (part) townships and Slatington Borough in Lehigh County. It also consists of Allen, Lehigh and Moore (part) townships, and North Catasauqua, Northampton and Walnutport boroughs in Northampton County.
