Thursday, Sept. 12, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Exhibitors from state and local agencies, businesses and other organizations will be on hand to provide information and answer ques¬tions important to seniors. Free health screenings, including vision screening, balance screening and blood pressure, will be offered. Flu shots will be available pending manufacturing. Finally, CarFit, an educational program for seniors to learn how well their personal vehicles “fit” them, will be on hand. To register for CarFit, please contact Mildred Ozoa at 610-865-7083. The expo is free to attend, and light refreshments will be available.

Protect yourself from identity theft by bringing discarded documents containing sensitive personal information to my free, on-site shredding event. There is a limit of four bags or boxes per household. No businesses, please.

In partnership with Colonial Intermediate Unit #20 and Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21, I am hosting my first Special Needs Fair. Families and individuals of all ages can find valuable resources and connections.
Explore a variety of services and programs tailored to meet the needs of parents, families and individuals with special needs. Connect with experts who can provide guidance on navigating the transition to adulthood.

Activities Include:
  •   Meet Bobby Ray - Facility Dog from CLIU#21: Interact with a specially trained facility dog and learn about its role in supporting individuals with special needs.
  •   Crafts and Activities for Children: Engaging activities designed for children to enjoy and explore their creativity in a supportive environment.
  •   Mini Special Olympics: Participate in a bocce ball demonstration.
