Hard to Read Plate Event
Tuesday, May 9, 9 a.m. to noon
Kolapechka Park
4075 Coffeetown Road, Coplay
Does your license plate have one or more numbers or letters that cannot be recognized from 50 feet away? Is your plate blistered, peeling, discolored or lost its reflectivity? If so, you should have your license plate replaced.
To help facilitate the process to turn in the illegible plate for a new one, I am teaming up with the Lehigh County Sheriff’s Department for a special event for all residents of the 183rd Legislative District.
Drivers must register by Monday, May 8, by calling 610-760-9805 or by emailing jnestor@pahousegop.com. Please have your vehicle registration card and driver’s license available when RSVPing. On Tuesday, May 9, bring your vehicle to the event to begin the replacement process. While there, the sheriff will determine if the plate is illegible, and if so, we will help drivers fill out the appropriate paperwork. There is no fee for the replacement or this service for a regular license plate.
Once submitted to PennDOT, the new replacement plate will be sent to your home address.
In addition, the event will also feature, CarFit, an educational program for seniors to learn how well their personal vehicles “fit” them. To register for CarFit, please contact Renee Fritzinger at rfritzinger@hsnetwork.org or 610-554-3319.
